My Journal

Scarred and spiral bound; decorated with great purple mountains and a clouded sky; bearing a single word "Vision".
Within it, coded memories of a three week adventure half-way across the globe are enscribed.
It is difficult to relay in text the interior of this record-keeper, which is laced with numerous hand-drawn maps, notes to self, and unexplainable doodles. I hope this blog sufficiently retells my experiences there and conveys the missions of our project, but more importantly, the inspiration.

Saturday.Oct.20.2007 (Day 8)

Got up and packed, flew to Kwaj, met Ona and Ava, so cute little baby. Looked at WWII relics. Julian, Rutha, Daisy Lynn, Dano, and Lori met us at airport and welcomed us with fresh flowers. Julian took us to lunch at Cafeteria. We walked them back to terminal and went to Ona’s to get our stuff. Settled into house, borrowed snorkel gear and went swimming. I was attacked by evil little Picasso fish that attacked Erica and Jacqueline as well. Of course, we did provoke it a little on accident. Mr. Fielding got bikes and we toured Kwajelein. Saw the ‘turtle pond’ and Jacq’s bike almost broke down, we rode down by airport and all around the island. It was very windy, and I experienced a little island fever. Came back and got dinner and played food chain game but ended early because we were so tired.
